Orange County, Dr. Jenkins Talk Edugaming (Via Kotaku.) “They might wear suits, but don’t be fooled, they’re gamers.”
The OCDE’s Webcast (or more accurately, video podcast) on Games in Education received a nod from Kotaku today. Perhaps even more noteworthy, though, our administrator announced it at our division meeting. A post on a (well read) blog now qualifies as “good press” at the Orange County Department of Education. Things are changing. :)
I particularly appreciated the end of the article: “I love to see the positive virtues of gaming extolled, especially when it’s someone inside the system singing the praises.”
