I just want to point out the parallel between this move by Google and the iTunes U movement at Apple, right down to the “let us know if you’re interested” approach to marketing. There are those who have posted some skepticism of whether or not this move by Google is a good thing, but if a corporations’ need for advertising or for users’ metadata can serve a greater educational purpose, I think that’s a trend I’m ok with.
