First Myst PSP Screens (Via Kotaku.) Myst is often cited as a good Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) game for education, primarily because of its puzzle solving game structure. I am still on the lookout for educational applications of the beautiful PSP hardware, so I’m blogging this for future reference.
Also, I finally stared Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories on the PSP. Despite the flack the game catches from the press on account of the content, the game play is also often sited as a good example of an open-ended structure that might provide some educational potential. On the Everything Bad is Good For You front, this game has layers of relatively sophisticated irony… from the news paper stories in the booklet to the music available on the in-game radio stations. I don’t worry about students who play this game.
