Professional Learning Communities

Professional Learning Communities (Via MSN Search: Professional Learning Communities.)

My current KAM is dealing with Professional Learning Communities, and Eva is doing a lot of work with them. I wanted to share this gem from one of my MSN search feeds with her and figured I might as well share it here, too.

It’s also time for a PLC category.

Make sure you look into Rick Dufour’s work on PLCs. If you have a chance to see him speak, it is well worth it.

Thanks for the comment, Ryan. And as always, it’s good to meet a fellow Walden Student… especially one in Educaitonal Technology. I’m curious what you are studying that brought you to DuFour.

My KAM III depth is focused on the DuFours’ work, and others in the PLC field. I’ve also had a few chances to speak with him (when I was working at the Orange County Department of Education)… and yes, they were well worth it. He is a real supporter of educational technology, and he is also quick to defer to experts in the field when his understanding runs out. The second time we met, I was lucky enough to have lunch with him two days in a row. What a treat!
